It's hard to take anyone named "anonymous" seriously! Myself, I like the "Devil with the vices" theme paintings the best, where dames, money, drugs and drink are spinning around him.
My grandfather R. Hobbs painted many devil with vices on black velvet and sold them at his bottle stores and flea markets in the late 70's and 80's in Arkansas and Missouri. He also did many with nudes and a fantasy space scene with a twisty floating island. I am interested in acquiring any of this type especially if signed Hobbs or by his wife who signed usually Quay.
That looks like the typical chess club
ReplyDeleteI have that painting. Do you still want it?
ReplyDeleteYou could just play her a game of chess for the painting.
ReplyDeleteJust don't challenge her to a game of bowling. Looks like she can pick up a 7-10 split with ease
Anonymous- You Tease!
ReplyDeleteOk, I was teasing. I do have another devil paining though that you may like. It comes in an Aaron Brothers frame.
